With a solid week of 2018 in the books, how are we doing? Are we still all guns blazing with intention? What about our creative and spiritual gifts? Are we adamantly designing the lives we claim to want, or is it a very real temptation to resort back to convenient defaults and preprogrammed ways of thinking, doing, being, acting, or otherwise showing up in this world? Well, we still have a way to go, so focus forward.
I had the wondrous opportunity to distill some of this inspiration in Tuesday’s Tool Time, a podcast hosted by fellow queen and writer Rochelle Soetan. Rochelle is the author of the upcoming memoir, Bridges: A Season of Surrender and the acclaimed Tuesday Morning Love: 52 Commentaries and Weekly Affirmations to Honor the Soul within the Souldier. Rochelle and I shared candidly on several heart matters, including the power of living intentionally, and showing up authentically in relationships. We also opened up about the vitality of the writing process in our own healing and becoming as writing women. Moreover, we shared passionately about how all of us can more effectively embody what it means to be a community. I really hope you check out the podcast.
In the meantime, I am fervently praying God’s absolute best for you; I simply have no other wish that can compare. Essentially, I want you to feel whole, worthy, and most authentic in your gifts and in your being as you move forward this year. I hope that you harness the possibility that every new day presents you, Beloved, regardless of its proximity to January or the beginning of the year.
Your life very well can be lived with intention and purpose on a most daily basis and not just during the bookends of a traditional calendar.
Sounds good, right? Don’t let me keep you then. Go on and grab your favorite cup of tea or wine, depending on your preference, and head on over to Tuesday’s Tool Time to savor every single word. Tweet us your thoughts at SomerEmpress or Rochelle or just drop us a line here or at Rochelle’s blog. Let us know what #IntentionalLiving looks like for you this year. We’d love to hear from you!
Namasté.
